Dimensions: 17.17mm (length) x 17.08mm (width) x 5.28mm (height)
Color: Warm white.
This shimmering Indian moonstone cabochon was carved with a gorgon Medusa face on the underside of the stone. Snakes curve around over the top of the stone.
She would be a fierce symbol as a ring or necklace, wrapped in brambles and terrifying men everywhere. We recommend any yellow gold.

Moonstones are beloved for their pearly and lustrous hues and adularescence: the metallic iridescence from reflective light that appears to glow from beneath the gemstone's surface. Moonstones are considered a lucky gemstone and have a long history steeped in magic and mystery.

Origins: India
Care: Moonstones are fragile, make sure to avoid knocking or dropping your moonstone jewelry onto hard and/or abrasive surfaces. Do NOT soak intaglios in water as it can seep behind the stone. It has been sealed with epoxy as an added measure, so limited liquid is appropriate, but constant immersion and soaking can eventually lead to water damage. To clean your moonstone piece, use a damp cloth or toothbrush and dry quickly. Do not use ultrasonic and steam cleaners.
