The studio is ringing in the holidays by celebrating the nostalgia and sentimental stories surrounding the season. We're reminiscing about holiday traditions + memories from our team and some special friends of the studio...
The studio chatted with Colleen Fitzgibbons, Hannah Blount Jewelry's Studio Coordinator, about her beloved family traditions and finding empowerment through beauty.
"Every year on Christmas Eve, my family gets together with our close family friends and we have a wonderful celebration – we always have our same desserts and we always play Cards Against Humanity. It is one of our more recent traditions, but it has become the highlight of the holidays for me. My favorite seasonal dish is the tenderloin that my aunt cooks every Christmas. I don't know what it is about this particular dish, but just thinking about it makes me nostalgic for my family.
When I was younger, I remember being absolutely dazzled by both the extensive lights and how the hot chocolate never seemed to be cool enough to drink at the La Salette Christmas Festival of Lights. Now, my mum and I go back during the holidays to light candles and walk through the elaborately decorated shrine. It is one of those places that is purely joyous and beautiful during the holidays.
I have always celebrated vanity and beauty, and I think it is important to remind everyone that it's ok to want to feel beautiful and to indulge yourself. HBJ's Vanity collection makes me very proud to be a part of the studio".
Don’t forget to let us know how you celebrate the true meaning of the season...
