Luminous bursts of periwinkle, mint, ginger, and Milky Way white swell and swirl around refined cuts of Coober Pedy Australian opals. Opals are a connection to life beyond our earthly world, and these orbiting opals hold a single galaxy in each earring.
Approximately 01.26ct Coober Pedy Australian opal Vanity studs. Available in oxidized sterling silver with 14k gold. Approximately 6x8mm.

All precious opals are beloved for their whimsical, kaleidoscopic colors, and the opals from the Coober Pedy mine of South Australia are no exception. While opals have garnered a superstitious reputation in more recent history, they were considered one of the luckiest gemstones from the Aztecs to ancient Roman scholars. It’s said that their opalescence inspired the ancient Greeks to believe opals offered foresight and clarity. A storied gemstone, there is no doubting the magic and beauty of these ethereal gems.

Care: All opals are fragile like glass: be extra careful to avoid abrasive surfaces, and avoid knocking your opal against hard surfaces. Extreme temperature shifts can cause cracks. To keep your opal clean, use warm water with mild soap and a soft toothbrush or cloth. Do not use a steam cleaner or ultrasonic cleaner.
Healing Properties:
White precious opal is an amplifier and is said to intensify emotions and purify the self. Opals were sometimes called “The Eye Stone.”
